Substance Misuse Strategy Implementation Board
Membership of the Board is made up of Welsh Assembly Government senior officials from all of the relevant policy areas and external stakeholders. External membership is drawn from a wide variety of organisations to reflect the diversity of the Welsh Assembly Government’s substance misuse agenda.
The main aims of the Board are to:
- Oversee, at a national level, the delivery of the Substance Misuse Strategy for Wales 2008-2018 - Working Together To Reduce Harm;
- Ensure that the Strategy is reviewed and ‘refreshed’ in the light of emerging developments or changes in patterns of substance misuse; and
- Ensure links are established / maintained with relevant groups.
